MS in Education (seeking certification)

The Master of Science degrees in Early Childhood Education (Grades N-3), Elementary Education (Grades 1-6), and Secondary Education (Grades 7-12) are designed for candidates who are seeking initial state of Connecticut teaching certificates. Students complete a K-12 classroom experience each semester, culminating in a Student Teaching experience in their certification area. Other courses in methods, assessment, classroom management and more prepare candidates to become effective educators. Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education graduates instruct all grade subjects, while Secondary Education students choose from Biology, Earth Science, English, Math, or History/Social Studies.
