Healthcare Management Minor

Professor speaking in front of classThe Healthcare Management minor prepares students to contribute to improved outcomes of management functions in practices, labs, clinics, insurance companies, hospitals and other healthcare-related organizations. It allows students to acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities to become team leaders, supervisors and managers — from majors as diverse as:

  • Health Sciences
  • Psychology
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Finance

Students working in lab coatsThe minor focuses on the competencies identified by healthcare leadership organizations, including communication and relationship management, professionalism, leadership, knowledge of the healthcare environment, and business skills and knowledge. The minor can be completed within most 120-credit undergraduate programs.
